I have been in the same friendship for many years and all the friends I have gained over the years have been faithful; take it from me being a friend is very hard and exhausting. For example, most people care about what their friends think of them. I know my friend is not the only one in fault here, so I can have the same amount of blame as him. Sins I see in friends are not only what I can do sometimes, but things all people do in today’s society. Having friends is a necessity in life and without them the world can be cold and lonely. Although, all you want to do is strangle your friends. There is no doubt that there can be sins in a friend, I see it every day.
Sloth: Having a lazy friend can be very annoying and embarrassing in more than one way. Most people that are classified as “lazy” don’t have a job. No job means no income. People that are unemployed tend to borrow money from their friends that have jobs. Mark Twain once said, “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” Anger affects everyone differently, and some of us are more adept to deal with it. Others it turns into monster making them do irrational, off character actions with severe consequences. The dictionary definition of anger is to make or to become upset, but I think anger is a sense of rage that can interfere with rational thinking. Although identifying as neither male nor female is a slightly more modern and lesser occurrence, every non-binary person is valid nevertheless. Erasing their validation means erasing numerous lives from now and throughout the past. There are many examples of important historical non-binary figures. Jemima Wilkinson, for example, was an evangelist in the late eighteenth century who founded the “Society of Universal Friends.” After suffering from illness in the late 1770s, Wilkinson renamed them-self a variation of “Public Universal Friend” or “The Friend” according to different sources, and refused to use “she” or “he” pronouns.…

A friend is a person who is willing to be there for you when you are going through a serious situation. When your car breaks down and you are stuck in the middle of the highway and your friend is willing to drive all the way to pick you up and call AAA for you, that’s true friendship. I have had some situations when a friend will always be there for me whenever I need them. I had an awful experience a few months ago; one night my friend did henna for my arms and it felt itchy all night and looked ominous. I didn’t even know that I had an allergic reaction; my arms had hives and some peeling.…

Concerns have been raised in the 21st century about the young adult’s slowing transition into adulthood. Robin Henig discusses these concerns in her article “What is it About 20-Somethings?” by writing on the topic of emerging adulthood, a period before adulthood that sociologists believe may be a new distinct life stage. Henig addresses the idea that young people in America have put off the traditional milestones such as completing school, leaving home, becoming financially independent, marrying and having a child. More recently, technology and the use of social media have become popular and prevalent among young adults and children, a point Maria Konnikova brings up in her article “The Limits of Friendship.”…

Those who surround us can change our outlook on life as well as change the way we live in a negative or positive way. Friendships is the unit that many look to in their times of need, for advice, or just someone to talk to in general. However in this world these “friendships” that exist “overlook philia, the slower-burning and longer lasting complement” (Akst 84). Askt brings about the idea of all of the “friends” that one may have but the friendship that we possess is “diluted” and will not fulfill the true meaning of friendship being “uniquely suited to fill the void because unlike matrimony or parenthood, it’s available to everyone, offering concord and even intimacy without aspiring to be all consuming” (Akst 85). Friendship as well as the idea of it is arisen throughout the entire novel, creating…
