Police Officers will also need 4 months training at a police academy. Officers of the law will also need to be 21 years of age. (“Preparation” 1). I personally feel I can complete high school. If I can do 4 years of high school, I can definitely do 4 months of police academy training. My only problem is when I graduate I will only be 18… So I may go into the Army for 3 years till I 'm 21.
In becoming a police officer a helpful high school course is criminology. Another helpful course in physical education. Lastly, a helpful course is to have knowledge on the legal system (“Helpful High School Courses” 1). I personally feel that I will only need criminology. I am familiar with the legal system and know what I need to know. I am also fine when it comes to physical education, for I do physical activities a lot.
As a police officer in Missouri are making anywhere between 33,240 dollars to 54,900 dollars. This will be great for where I plan on living. Police officers also get paid double for overtime (“Wages” 1). I personally feel this is perfect. I do not wish to further my education right now and I still want to help people. In doing so, I can do what I want and make decent money for it with just a high school
