Day after day I think about you guys. Thinking when I’m gonna return home, when it will be all over. I signed up for this war for because of fear and pride. I thought I would return home being the country’s hero. This could also be because of fear, if I do not go to war I will be called a coward and be shamed by everyone. I chose not to go and then the government had just introduced conscription. All men 18-45 years old must go to war, except for the people who didn’t apply to the rules. I have participated in about 3 battles so far the battle of Vimy ridge, the battle of passchendaele and the battle of the somme.
