I always push myself to achieve my best, regardless of the barriers in my way. Academically, I bring to the table an unrelenting willingness to learn and achieve, to acquire knowledge and give it in return. I refuse anything the chance to stop me from performing to the best of my ability, on homework, tests, research projects, or otherwise. Education in any aspect of life, be it the arts or sciences, matters more than anything. I encourage this attitude in my friends, classmates and acquaintances as well. Firmly believing that everyone should pursue knowledge to its fullest and never settle for ignorance, I motivate those around me to give every task their all. Whether they come to me or I see them struggling from afar, my willingness to help when someone experiences problems in their academics, or even generally in their life, always drives me to offer support. Not only am I dedicated to increasing my understanding of the world and how it works, I dedicate myself to the education of those around me, because everyone should seek to study and discover despite the trials in their

I am committed to the Loyola experience because of the love I have for this university and all those who enter it. I did not become a Resident Assistant for compensation, I applied because I thought it would be the best opportunity to provide first year students with the resources and foundation that will help them understand what Loyola can do for them and how much this university cares. The line ‘go forth and set the world on fire’ can spark something different and extraordinary to each individual. I have dedicated my entire academic career at this institution to exemplifying Magis and being ‘more’.…

I strive to do my best in order to achieve my goals and exceed expectations. In high school, I always tried to take advanced classes because I wanted to challenge myself and learn more complex ideas. Personally paying my way through college is just the start of the many complexities I endure as a young adult. It’s mentally challenging to put aside the worry and stress of paying for my particular degree, all while wondering if I’ll even be able to have some saved up for my career after college. My major is Acting in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and that alone is quite a risky major within the college and out in the real world. It is a dream that guarantees less of a secure, consistent and long lasting career, but I truly love theatre with all my heart and those thoughts are the reason why I’m sharpening my skills at the University of Arizona. I believe I should be awarded this scholarship since, as a senior in highschool, I am determined to attend college and to achieve the highest degree of success and excellence. The main factor in my life that is stopping me from achieving this dream is the price tag of education. Yes, college students receive millions of dollars in financial aid, but most aid is determined by need. In my situation, my parents make too much money to be considered as in need, but they make too little to be able to pay off my future college tuition without a worry. In addition to needing this scholarship, I perform very well in my high school.…
