Its past 7am and you have to be at the mess, take your breakfast and go for your first lecture which starts in 45 minutes. Denying an Indian his time for food is a very bad idea. Taking breakfast or lunch in India is something you should pay attention to and never try to disrupt an Indian during their meal time. They come to class or school or office with their meals and during breakfast or lunch time, you must notice how they share their meals and eat together. In some cases, each come with one part of the meal and others contribute to make it complete.
So what do you do if you do not understand what your teacher is saying? From my experience, the best way to understand is to understand the way they speak, once you understand what they say when they speak, then you will understand what they mean when they teach you. The above assertion does not mean Indians do not speak good English or do not construct their sentences well, you will be so shocked that even some British or Americans would have to go back to their studies when you meet well learned Indians which you will easily find in India. Majority of their states have literacy rate up to 80 to 95% or more depending on the state and yes, you will always find one in every three to five Indians you find in the city well learned and having more degrees than you as well but if you find yourself in rural India, it is also a very good avenue to understand the other side of India which will be coming up in our next
