The alarm went off and I needed to get ready for school. I know I should get up, but I don't want to forget my dream I had. Then my mom walked in and starts yelling saying the bus in coming down the road. I jumped out of bed throw on a clean shirt and grabbed my bag while running down the stairs almost falling down. The bus was about to leave my road but I didn't give up and he saw me coming and slowed down. I hate taking the bus to school. Most days I get a ride from my mom. Everyone on my bus bugs me and the driver smells a little and tries to be best friends with you. The worst part of riding the bus is that i'm the last stop and there is no seats left and I have to pick someone to sit with. This was my lucky day. The fun ended there because the rest of the time we had to read out of a stupid text book. When I got home I was exhausted and didn't want to do anything. I went to bed at 7:30pm that night. It felt so good to Just lay down and combine with my bed. I started to dream not long after that about walking down a street. I saw a fantastic looking store. I tried to walk to it but i couldn't it was like i was on a set path down the street. There was no reason keep trying trying anyways i was just having a dream, but when I thought that I stopped walking and I had perfect control of my body. Was I having a lucid dreaming? Until recently, I had an undiagnosed sleep disorder that had a large negative impact on my school work. Through the right treatment, I have been able to stay alert, focused, and have a better understanding of my classes. I feel that my condition has made me a better student, because it has taught me how to function without treatment, that I have to work twice as hard as the average student to succeed, and that I have to persevere through every obstacle in order to achieve my goals. I have also learned that I need to act quickly and find a tutor when I feel that I am falling behind in a subject. When studying for an exam, I have learned that reviewing my notes, and asking for a classmates point of view on a difficult problem, helps me prepare…

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "I have a dream." He had a dream to end racism against African Americans, and with hard work, dedication, perseverance, and being optimistic, he furthered the community of America to an almost point break of racism. After his reign, racism was still present, but he lowered the standards of it by so much it was almost obsolete. Before he died he wanted people to remember him as a civil rights leader, and for him to never be forgotten. Many people have dreams, and many people accomplish them, while others don't.…

Lucid dreaming is paradoxical for it contains factors of both dream consciousness and waking consciousness. It is also a state of dissociation, the mental process of disconnection from thought, emotion, and sense of identity. (Hobson, 2009) Paul Tholey described the characteristics of lucid dreaming as: full awareness of the dream state, awareness of the possibility of making free decisions, full memory of waking life, and full memory of all lucid dreaming experiences in the waking state. When in a lucid dream one is self-reflective and aware of themselves, the past, and the future.…

My First Time Babysitting It was a dark rainy Friday evening, school just let out for the weekend and I was free except I still had one thing to do left, as I was doing a weird walk jog across the campus while trying not to get soaked just to get to the main building, as my phone started to make this weird ringing noise and obviously I got a bunch of looks. When I looked at my phone I saw that my dad was calling me and when I answered my dad told me not to walk home in the rain and just wait it out. Once I got to the main high school building, I walked through the maze of hallways and lockers, and finally just finally I made it to the front of the building. It was still pouring down rain when I looked out of the window, by this time the storm was almost through…

I will have to take extra time on homework to still have enough sleep. One of the dreams I had last week started off like I was in this strange unknown neighborhood it was so silent almost like as if everyone was dead , it was during the evening, the pinkish orange puffy clouds setting above the mountains as the sun slowly hides away and this little blond boy with a blue and white stripped shirt and blue shorts and he had no shoes on,the little boy looked pale, sick he had black in the white part of his eyes and the corners of his mouth were green with bumps all around, I cringed at the sight of his face. Then he told me to follow him inside this weirdly shaped house, gently tugging me across the street. As I opened the metal screen door and looked in front of me to see if the blond boy was still there but he wasn’t, he disappeared in thin air. As I walked in the house, it had a strange yet addicting scent, it was hard to see of how dark it was inside but there was a little shine of light peeking through a curtain.…
