Personal Essay On Cheerleading

During the last couple years I’ve been blessed to be a part of such amazing once in a lifetime opportunities. I was a part of the cheerleading team all four years of high school, my freshman year I was on the varsity basketball cheerleading team. My sophomore year I was on the junior varsity competition/football cheerleading team, I was also captain on this team my junior year. My senior year I was a part of the varsity competition and football cheerleading team and was able to compete at Districts, Regionals, States and UCA nationals. Summer of 2012 I was able to go with my churches youth group and help in the efforts to restore the jersey shore. The summer after I was able to help rebuild a church in Pittsburgh. Each summer starting since 2012 I have been lifeguarding in my community and this past summer I was the head guard of teaching swim lessons. …show more content…
In February of 2016 I was able to experience the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed, Thon. My sister was a dancer in Thon and my family went to University Park to encourage her and the dancers in FOTO. Being a part of something that special made me realize that you need to work extremely hard for what you want. To always help people even if you’re tired or not in the best physical condition. To always put a smile on someone’s face even if you aren’t feeling well. These experiences have made me motivated and so appreciative of the things I have. I wish to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing school and to help people in any way
