My brain realizes that being 5 a.m. I must get up, but my body defies me; it does not want to move. Then, a vision crosses my mind; I see myself walking down an airplane runway; there is a plane parked in the distance, and the wind is gushing at me. This vision brings me a sort of thrill and excitement I have longed for all my life to experience. Suddenly, I am excited about getting out of bed to start my day. knowing that the aircraft I have worked on would be flying safely at an altitude of 40,000 feet, it is just a truly amazing feeling. The enjoyment working on airplanes definitely has its own rewards. Whether tightening a bolt on a tire or to executing a major engine overhaul of a jet engine, one rarely encounters the same problem. I grew up in a family that was always there for each other. I am used to the support, love, and encouragement that I received from my family and friends. It would only help me become a more successful person if I were to increase my support group. An organization like the NSCS can assist me in making important associations with other high achieving students or mentors. It's critical to find the opportunity to converse with somebody who has effectively experienced what you have; especially in college where everything is different from high school.…

What I discovered, in time, was that helping others is not just a fulfilling purpose, but a moral responsibility. Indeed, medicine is the most appropriate career path for me, the one best suited to me intellectually, emotionally, and otherwise. In my high school years, I worked at my local medical center, rotating among different departments including emergency, physical therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and radiology. Just as I sold popcorn for Boy Scouts and had to learn to deal with the public, within the office I also had to be diplomatic.…
