Personal Essay: My Trip To Disney World

As a child, I was outside almost all the time. I would either be on my family farm working or in the backwoods that are on our farm. I love the outdoors because they are so perfect because they are so beautiful and great. As a farm boy, the outdoors are what I have been around my whole life and all I have known. Therefore, I honestly wouldn’t know what to do without them. I remember a couple of years ago, my family went on a excursion to Disney World, and I wasn’t myself, I felt like I was missing a part of myself. This was when I realized that the outdoors are what I’m passionate about and what I love. With me being around them so much, they have almost become a part of me and something I will have to always be around. When I am not on the farm or in the outdoors I get bored and I almost get emotionally and mentally sick. What I mean by this, is that when I’m gone from the outdoors I feel homesick and I feel like I'm missing part of me. When this happens, I get into rare form and sometimes get tired. Sometimes I feel like I’m being trapped in a “concrete prison” and it feels like there is no room for me to go or for my soul to roam. I mostly feel this way at school. My main goal in school right now is to get out and then go work on the farm. I see school as a wall that I need to tear down so I can continue down the road …show more content…
I have been told this by many math and science teachers. They think this because I am very skilled in those areas. But what they don’t realize is that farming allows me to be out with the outdoors frequently and both farming and the outdoors have become a part of my life. I would rather be a migrant worker in Southern California working one hundred hour work weeks picking peppers then have a nine to five desk job. So therefore nothing can stop me from not being with what I am the most passionate

Growing up in Southern California we spent most of our summers at Lake Havasu and Parker. For as long as I can remember, getting to spend my summers on the lake with my close friends and family was what got me through the school year, knowing that for a full month I would have no cares in the world except for what adventures lay ahead of us. As the school year came to an end, all we could think about was getting to the lake to start our last summer together before we all ventured off in separate directions. Starting to pack and load up the RV was all I could think about for days, seeing as this was the last summer we would all spend together.…

Walt Disney World Versus Universal Studios Orlando Orlando, Florida is the most popular tourist destination for families and teens seeking theme parks. From the time I was a little girl, the most exciting part of the year was when my mom would reveal our summer trip. Out of the multitude of Orlando theme parks, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World are the two most attended. Although they do have some similarities, such as rides and family friendliness, they are both very different.…

From smelling the salty waters by the Florida Keys, seeing all of the green from the stems of green beans growing, the flavor of the freshest eggs you could get from the coop in the backyard, to the avocado tree growing in the backyard, my trip to Florida had become one of the greatest life experiences I’ve had yet. Visiting Florida taught me many skills on being independent, mentally, and how easy and fun it is just to be to yourself sometimes. It all started Christmas eve when I got home to find my presents from “Santa” there before we even went to bed. My parents had planned on taking a vacation to Florida for Christmas break to see my grandparents, but we were unable to also get my parents there.…
