Personal Narrative: I Love My Mom

Improved Essays
When I was 6 years old I realized I was my mom's twin. It was one day when we were just sitting in the kitchen having a normal conversation about how I am such a picky eater. Not only did I realize I was like my mother when it came to eating certain foods. When I was growing into my teenage years I realized I was like her in other ways. I was caring and helpful just like my mom when it came to helping out other people. In high school I realized I was a hardworking just like my mom when it came to her job or with me when it came to school work and wanting to achieve something I never gave up. As soon as I realized I was identical to my mom our relationship and bond with each other became stronger.

I still believed I was my mom’s identical twin. Not just the fact I liked the same snacks and foods as her but I also found myself to be a very caring and helpful person when it came to others in need.I may not come across as a very caring person, or that I have a big heart and love to help out people but in reality I do once you get to know me. My mom has always been the type to help people in need and I am the exact same way as her. Her and I tend to go out of our way for people in need because we have such a big heart and want to help out as much as possible. A prime example is if was driving home or to the store and I witnessed a homeless person on the road I would gather up any spare change or dollars to try and help that person out as much as I …show more content…
I realized that I was very hardworking and dedicated when it came to me wanting to achieve my goals and get something done that was important to me. My mother takes her work very serious and always puts in her best effort, she doesn’t give up on her work when things get tough or she doesn’t understand. Which I always find myself pushing through obstacles and tough times when I am trying to complete my work or reach a goal that I want to meet. Between school work, a job, or even practice for softball I go in with a mind set that I won’t give up until my work is done or I can’t do any better than what is done. I push myself to the fullest and give 110% every time I do something. I am always determined and hardworking when it comes to school work because I strive to get good grades because it will help in the long run for college when applying for different schools. Another reason I work hard is because if I can keep good grades and get a scholarship for college it won’t only benefit me but will benefit my parents as well, and they won’t have to pay as much for tuition. As the years go on I still come across reasons that make me believe I am my mother’s identical twin. My mom and I are so similar it is unbelievable at times. Without my mom I would not be the same person I am today. We have built a relationship with each other that is very strong and I can always

In my case, and in others, being an identical twin doesn’t prove that we are the same in all areas of life. I have an identical twin sister, named Emily. Emily is pessimistic, high maintenance and very well organized. I, on the other hand, am more optimistic, open-minded and easygoing.…

Growing up, I got the privilege of learning from my biggest heroes, my mom. One of the biggest and most important thing I learned from her is, I can accomplish my dreams or any desire by working really hard for it. While I was evolving into a young adult, I hardly got to see my mother due to her having multiple jobs. She would get up at 4am to go to work at a retail store, then in the afternoon she will run her personal hair salon, and aside from that she was also a leader at our local church.…

My mother decided to join the Army to escape the environment we were in and to hopefully give us a better life, as neither of my parents had gone to college or had steady jobs. My father had a background in New York City and understood very well that a good education and environment was important to success and avoiding a life of crime.…

The environment I was raised in was kind that teaches some people the “Yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir, no sir” kind of manners.
