I was in my eighth grade reading teacher’s classroom, and I remember standing near my teacher’s desk near her. The participants were spread all around the class as we filled the empty, blank space around the classroom's desks. There were a lot of my classmates and friends filled in the seats of my teacher’s classroom, and my classmates and friends were cheering me on.
