Why Success Is Important To Me

Success is different to everyone. For some: baking cookies or winning the lottery. For others: going for a run or getting an A on a test. I am going to talk about my definition of success and why it is important to me. My definition of success is to be financially sound with people who love me surrounding me. This is important to me because I will not have to worry financially, I will be able to spend time with others, and it is important to me because I grew up with these things and would like to pass them on to my family.

The first one I am going to talk about is not having having to worry financially. “People say that money isn’t the key to happiness, but I’ve always figured that if you have enough money you can get a key made.” -Unknown. This quote is a tell. A tell that I believe money can help pave the path to happiness, but it isn’t the path. Don’t get me wrong. I value many things more than money. Such as family, friends and others. Although, it would be a lot easier for me to enjoy time and make memories with them, with a financially stable situation. All my life I have worked my ass off in school. I have done all the requirements, and I have finished all my assignments. This is all because my father has one of the best work ethics I have ever seen. I wanna be just like him when I am older. He has put it us into a good financial position due to his work ethic. So if I could do one thing in life it would be to work like him. If I can work and learn from him, it would put me in a financially stable spot. “A father is a man who expects his son to be as good a man he meant to be.” -Frank A. Clark.
