Thwack! The club strikes the ball and it goes soaring through the air. It lands with precision on the green for an easy tap in birdie. This was easy for me cause I am a skilled athlete in my sport, Golf. Most people say that golf is more of a game than a sport. Golf is just as much of a sport because, it requires physical abilities, strong mental abilities, and it takes practice and skill just like any other sport.
First of all, golf is sport because it requires physical abilities. Golf my not take as much physical abilities as soccer or football but it does require some forms. Every golfer, including myself has to swing a golf club to play the sport of golf because there is no other way to do it. Golf isn’t something you can just pick up, it's like most sports where you have to practice to gain the skills to be good a the sport. When I first started golf I wasn’t that good, I couldn’t hit the ball straight or far. Overtime with practice, I picked up skills that I use when I play now. This goes to tell you that golf is a sport and not a game because you have to practice to get better just like football or any other sport.
Some people might say golf is a game because it requires more mental strength than physical strength. But they’re wrong golf is just as much of a sport as and others even though there might not be contact or constant running. All sports require some bits of physical and mental abilities to play whether a certain sport favors one more.
Most people don't think of golf as a sport they think of it as a game. Golf is not a game it is a sport, I know this because require skill and practice, good mental abilities, and good physical abilities just like any other sport. I play the sport of golf myself and I contribute all these elements into my game, proving that golf is sport and not a
