A chief is somebody that is set to a higher standard than the rest. These types of people show integrity and promise in all types of situations whether the environment contains pressure or not. These types of people also show a willingness and ability to help others that are below them in ranks. They recognize rights and wrongs and put forth efforts to ensure that they do not make the same mistake twice. A chief is more than a leader in a group, they are a role model to everyone whether they are in NJROTC or not. They help set the rules in place so that other people can follow how to correctly and safely perform duties.
