Growing up in Johto I’ve never really had a whole lot of friends maybe one or two. The people in Goldenrod City never really seemed to agree with me or what I had wanted to be. My parents were breeders and researchers, they wanted to know everything about Pokemon. I on the other hand had wanted to see the way Pokemon battle and their strengths and weaknesses. The Pokemon had looked at me again and seemed to acknowledge what the Eevee was saying. It had gave me a look that seemed like it had said anytime you need me I’ll be waiting to help you no matter what it is. As soon as it appeared it disappeared in a large cloud of darkness. Eevee had jumped into my arms after the Pokemon had left. The night was slowly turning back into day, I was still holding my Eevee, when I girl about my age had came running into me while she was chasing a small Togepi. I glared at her before putting Eevee back on the place on my shoulder and grabbing her Togepi and her arm. She looked at me and her arm in shock. She tried to pull her arm from my grasp only failing, she then had tried apologize for running into me. I let go of her arm and shoved her Togepi into her arms before walking away angrily knowing that no matter how sorry she was I would always get payback for running into me and Eevee. I would also get payback for all those years of people bullying me because of the way that I think of

I’ve been playing baseball ever since I could pick up a bat. Since then, I’ve been to countless practices and played in hundreds of games. Baseball is essentially a second life, and if you were to step into my room, for example, you’d see a childhood baseball bat leaning against my nightstand, several baseballs on my dresser and scattered on the floor, and a picture of Wrigley Field displayed on my wall. I spent most of my summer travelling across the Southeast playing in tournaments in Atlanta, Charleston, and Raleigh, where I was able to experience playing against very talented players in front of several college coaches. These tournaments have given me some of the greatest experiences of my life, and really reflect just why and how much I love baseball.…

After reading Jeannette Walls’ Glass Castle, I realize that she and I have a lot in common. From her parents arguing to her being bullied at school to her father dying, she went through a lot of situations that resemble some of the less known and serious problems that I had while I was about the same age. Jeannette had a tough life while growing up. However, even though I had similar issues, I lived and still live a relatively sheltered life. I, like her, simply viewed everything that happened as normal and didn’t realize that it was abnormal until I got into fifth or sixth grade.…
