I agree that violence in our community has gotten out of control, but I know that every person involved, has a story behind it. One of the things I could do after going to college and studying Social work would be, becoming a probation officer or a counselor. By doing so, I would get to listen to their stories, and what causes the violence to happen. I would work with them, and guide them through the right path. I know for a fact that for many of them, violence is their only escape. I would work hard with them, and help to open their eyes, as it will then open a more successful path for them. Although I'm aware that I can't help and do this with everyone in my community, but little by little it will make a change. It’s not the people in Rockwood who are bad and violent, it’s not having enough help and support to make a difference. I want them to be able to relate to me, in a way that won't make them see me as a counselor only, but as a true supporter. I want them to feel like there's someone who sees the good in them, and believes that they're better than their actions. Even if my help doesn't make a huge impact in our community, I will be more than happy in helping some of the
