So, I took my flags home every day to practice. My first year I attended band camp with bronchitis because I did not want to fall behind. The vets on the team would come early and stay late to help me improve. I followed the advice my older teammates gave no matter how weird it sounded. I did not want to miss a chance to learn and improve. My skills slowly began to grow.
During my last year on color guard, I was co-captain of my team. I had worked so hard for so long, and that dedication led to my being named a captain. I still made plenty of mistakes,
