A Person I Love
My oldest sister “Patty” is truly someone that I love. Her devotion and commitment to life is why I love her and I am proud to be her brother. Patty is the oldest out of four siblings. There is a twelve year age difference between us. She practically raised me as our parents both worked to support us. She is one person in my life that I respect and love dearly.
We have always seemed to be able to relate to each other, even with the age difference. However, she didn’t hesitate to disciple me if I got out of line. She devoted many tireless hours taking care of her. To see this as I was growing up myself helped me to become aware of how complicated life is. Having all this on her plate really took a toll on her. I really became more and more involve with talking with her kids and showing them how much their mom was doing. In addition, I would offer to help my sister as much as possible. Even though she was the supporting role during this time, I was able to assist in many areas. Her dedication to her family was purely remarkable.
As time moved forward my sister seems to have adjusted to life. Her career took off and blossomed. Her kids’ have married and became mothers and fathers. Her grandkids call her the best grandmother in the world. Not to mention I also call her the best grandma in the world.
Actually, she is the best sister in the world. Her influence made me appreciate my life. Still today we chat and text each other. We even work out together at the gym every chance we get. Having her as my sister has been wonderful and I am thankful to say she is a person that I truly love.
