When I was in the fifth grade they asked us what instrument we wanted to play I said clarinet my mom said viola; and ever since I've played the viola. From the day I picked up my instrument I knew that music was going to have a huge impact on my life, and it has. Music is there one thing that I can count on to turn my bad day to a good day. It’s still is one of my weaker points in life. “While your tone is great your rhythm is where your struggle.” Is what my orchestra teacher told me when I asked about my chair placement. “Can you feel the beat when you march?” Is what I was often asked in Marching Band camp. To be honest it wasn’t that I could not feel the beat it was just that I did not know what to look for the beat. Music is one thing I would to describe my life but I would also describe it as my worst nightmare. I use to it for granted that I could do some much with music but then I realized what music really meant. To me music is the way it makes you feel .It’s when that catchy beat can take you from livid to happy it’s when you can turn on a song and explain all your feelings to one person. Music is that point where it’s just you and no one else the point where you can tell everyone else’s opinions and pus them aside. I remember when I was younger and there were two things that meant the most to me and that was my alarm clock and my viola .When I would do something wrong and my parents were yelling at me and taking away my electronics those were always two things that they didn’t take. Some may ask why what an alarm clock may be important, but it was important because on that particular alarm clock there was a radio that opened a world
