Education is like building a house. The owner begins with the design of their ideal house like a student figuring out what kind of teacher they want to become. The lot owner gets his papers sorted to have the permission to construct on the land, the same way a teacher must get educated and receive their license. The most important part of the home building process is having a firm foundation accordingly a teacher should build their foundation, they should first go onto the field and have real experience before being on their own. The philosopher John Dewey believed that teaching is not about telling “facts and knowledge but rather a facilitator of problem solving skills”(342) education should be based on the efforts on both the teachers and students, they should actually act together to get where they need to be. The teachers has to help student in creating structure, students will rely on teachers to give them as much knowledge as they can. It is the teacher 's duty to make students interested in what they have to say, to do this teacher must also be interested in what the student has to say. Teachers should be able to create a safe atmosphere for students, the classroom should be a place where the teacher wants students to be feel liberated from all other outside factors in life. Teacher need to able to get the students involved in the lesson so students can be guided through each stage of what is need to be learned. All of the lesson being taught should be centered around the students and they will consist of learning-by-doing or problem solving to develop their self-directed learning. If a teacher is not concerned about helping students learn the material or if they don’t put in effort into helping the student it will result negatively on the student. Most the teachers know if a student is not understanding, if they don’t offer to help the student one on one or offer tutoring after school therefore the students begin to simply fall behind. Suddenly the student becomes careless and disobedient because someone lost interest in kid causing them to lose all hope in themselves. This could have been avoided if the teacher just gave a little more effort on getting to know their students, it is important to into account the child as a whole, the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical aspects when lesson planning and teaching (343). As a teacher I help my students engage in the activity, make sure the student has someone to give them the extra support they need or just someone that reassures them they have a brighter future ahead of
