Our communication mediums have developed and increased over the year which has had an effect on how writings are entailed. With writing becoming more accessible online as well as being less credible, the emphasis on Grammar is decreasing over efficiency of shorthanded form of words. However, great care should still be taken in when communicating in written forms as it shows ones’ integrity, competence, attention to detail and aptitude. It can aid in characterising a person as well as establishing one’s authority.
Furthermore, proper Grammar and Spelling is still relevant in the corporate world as it helps in improving communication between different levels of staff. This in return improves the organisations’ output and helps it to gain a strong competitive edge over its competitors.
Although properly structured sentences and Grammar is not necessary all the time, it is highly recommended that efforts are made to continue to write in full, and proper Grammar. By practicing proper Grammar and Spelling, it will become almost your second nature, so no matter what the situation or the environment maybe, your ideas will be expressed effectively with authority.
