Personal Diet And Exercise Analysis

Decent Essays
I Hypnotize that my personal diet and activity promotes personal wellbeing. Most of the meals that I ate during the two days that I conducted this experiment included a sugary drink rather that contributed to my high sugar and fat intake. The Swedish fish that I ate as a snack had more calories and sugar that also is a factor in an unhealthy life style. My sugar intake was almost double than the suggested intake. My protein intake was within the suggested parameters, but it was one of the few categories that my intake was considered healthy. Before the collection of data and the time spent analyzing that my diet and exercise didn’t contribute to my wellbeing.

The Correlation Between Health and Diet & How Our Surroundings Have an Impact Mary Maxfield, author of the article Food as Thought: Resisting the Moralization of Eating and graduate of Fontbonne University, advocates the neutrality and meaninglessness of moral labels on the food we consume. Mary complicates matters further as she writes, “When we attempt to rise above our animalistic nature through the moralization of food, we unnecessarily complicate the practice of eating,” (Maxfield, p. 444). In making this comment, she urges us to comprehend that our knowledge of foods considered healthy should not be founded by customs, but rather by scientific evidence. My attitude towards the issue that there is no relationship between diets and health…

I recall, one day, accompanying my mother to a ladies house where there was a sick child. My mother was one of the women in the village who would take care of the sick; she learned everything she knew from my grandmother. When we got there, I saw my mother prepare some medicine and giving it to the ill child.…

While the costs for this study are considerable and the outcome could have significant impacts on how we view the relationship between health, exercise and eating habits, it is entirely unacceptable for Dr. Powell and the Center to accept sponsorship money from Kiddie Kola and Burger Shack. This sponsorship money will undermine the objectivity of the research and the legitimacy of the results. It should go without saying that the only reason Kiddie Kola and Burger Shack are willing to cover the research costs is because they want to dictate the results in advance -- namely, that it is perfectly okay for kids to eat fast food burgers and sugary sodas as long as they get enough exercise.…

I have learned a lot about nutrition so far over the course of this semester. This diet analysis project was probably the thing that I have least looked forward to having to complete. I know my diet is poor, I figured I ate too many bad foods, but I didn 't expect it to be lacking essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in so many different areas. It 's truly amazing to see foods I thought were "complete" and "good" for me, aren 't really, and may actually hinder me in the quest for a truly healthy diet.…
