This means there are a few number of people how are considered profession engineers. “Basically being a PE means that you are at the top of your game, top of your profession. They don't just hand them out to anybody!" (Randal E. Riebel, P.E.). A professional engineer is a person that is respected from the government and the public. When I get a license, I will be able to sign, seal and submit engineering plans and drawings or to seal engineering work for clients. The government agencies, educational institutions and private industries are hiring licensed professional engineers. This is a trend that is almost certain to continue in the future. This is because companies want to hire a person who is ethical, educated and independent on their projects.

I will mostly likely work outside which I am excited about because I got to physically see projects grow from the ground up is a great experience. I could see myself working in Houston and having my license, which will make me a better candidate for the job. I am currently working on a project with the city on a redesign of Richard Street. Me and a few students have surveyed and drafted the existing conditions. As this part of the project, we are starting the proposed plan and it is interesting to see how the process works. It is different to see how ideas become concrete plans and then become an official plan for a contract to use. Hopefully in the future the city of Kingsville constructs our project just to see

The highest designation for a professional engineer is the Chartered Professional Engineer (C.PEng), and requires three years of work experience. According to dictionary.com, a professional is defined as one that is “following an occupation as a means of livelihood or for gain” or “of, relating to, or connected with a profession”. In other words, a professional is expected to provide a good or a service with the assumption of receiving something in return. It would be wrong to assume the United States has shortages of science and engineering graduates, when the number of graduates leaving universities with degrees in science and engineering has gone up. As such, the picture portrayed in the Silicon Valley does not capture the situation of the entire United States. Some areas have a high demand of science and engineering graduates, whereas in other regions there more than enough graduates in science and engineering. Additionally, some of the graduates leave university although they do not possess employable skills.…

Throughout my educational career I have had several great teachers. To choose my best teacher is difficult for me since each teacher was for a different course and they had a unique personality and style of teaching. Overall, I would have to choose Mr. Poska as my best teacher (not necessarily my favorite teacher). I took AP Calculus I & II with him during my junior year of high school, then I took Calculus III with him in my senior fall semester. I also happened to have him as my junior and senior advisor during Connect.…

Texas is one of the states with the highest employment rate of aerospace engineering. Our generation has been obsessed with outer space and if life can be sustainable in other planets. This career hasn't much been changed because one can focus on building spacecraft or aircraft so if one goes out of business there's alway another choice to go to. I strongly disagree it will go out of business because one who fly everywhere is something that is used daily by people everywhere and two, were on a mission to be the first to go to Mars at the moment. This career won't be out of business or affected by the economy in anyway or at least not in my lifetime.…
