This discussion board brought up a lot of challenges for me personally and challenged me to think outside of my box. Rape is almost universally thought of to be wrong. A lot of people argue that rape is never justified while others say it can be justified in some situations. I believe it just depends on how you were taught or what you have heard. I say there is a blurred line between it all. There are exceptions to other crimes such as robbery and assault. I therefore believe rape can be justified. We are always so quick to judge just about any crime, however, I feel there is always and exception. I love how you brought up the idea of the rape

When determining the meaning of rape we all have different opinions. A couple weeks ago I defined rape as a person having sexaul intercourse or any other physical abuse without the consent of the victim. However after reading and analyzing the article “Perspectives on Acquaintance Rape” by David G. Curtis I have formed a whole new definition of what constitutes rape . While reading I came across the controversy on how to define the word rape and the word consent. As an example, most would say when a girl says no and is taken advantage of but in reality there is actually no real definition of the word consent.…

In Patrick Lee’s and Robert P. George’s, On The Wrong of Abortion, it is argued that abortions are objectively immoral. To support this conclusion, Lee and George state that, the fetus is a complete person in an immature phase of development, that the fetus has the potential to develop into a “person” and that abortions are intentional killings. Pro-Choice defenders argue that a human fetus is not a human being because it cannot live on its own, that they are not ‘people’, and that the mother has the executive decision of not wanting the child in her uterus. According to Patrick Lee in another one of his works, The Pro-Life Argument from Substantial Identity: A Defence. Bioethics , He claims that “What makes it wrong to kill you or me now would…

Victims of rape are sometimes led to believe it was their fault that the horrific crime occurred. This is utterly disgusting to even try to pin the blame on the victim. Victims of rape are not at fault. A person's attire, looks, alcohol consumption, sexuality, gender, and/or race does not give anyone permission to take advantage of them. 1. Why was it important for Sandy to keep the school principal and others informed about her plans? It is important to keep the school officials informed because she would have to validate her reasoning for wanting to address the situation via a group rather than individually. Because this is not the school 's usual protocol and there would probably be some skepticism of her desire to handle the situation in this manner, so it is important for this to be a collaborative effort. Moreover, Sandy was working with teens who had a history of violent behavior, so for her safety and the children 's as well it would be wise to keep officially informed of the group 's progress.…

According to my worldview rape is an act where by one person forces another to have sexual intercourse with her, using his power and weapons to threaten her. Rape is a disgusting and humiliating deed that affect victim, emotionally, physically and psychologically also affect her future in some cases. It’s important to stop rape because other victims found themselves in a situation where they have to do abortion after rape. And abortion is a murder according to God, our creator; some other young girls live in guilty conscious for the rest of their lives. Other victims get infected by STIs and HIV/AIDS, and they suffered for the rest of their lives with no healthy life.…
