Part A: Child/Incident (2 points) I went to the play store, subpar miniature golf, with my friend around 2 pm on Friday in alameda. When we went outside at the parking lot, we saw a child named Alex who was approximately 4 years old. We saw him that he was crying out loud and he was saying, “I wanna go back again.” His mom said, “We are leaving, come on come on..” He was trying to drag his mom back to the play store, but his mom was trying to stop him. His mom said, “We’re gonna go in the car” and he replied, “No!” He was still whining and screaming, Then, his mom said, “Listen to me, you want to go time out again here.” He was hitting his mom and other’s car and his mom was stopping him.

2. Provide 2 Positive Discipline Strategies Redirecting: This is to change the activity or focus of the child to an acceptable one. The technique calls for the adult to make an accurate assessment of what the children really want to do. I chose this strategy because I want to change her behavior into an acceptable one. I will talk to her properly at her level and say, “It looks like you really want that toy, let me finish looking around and let’s eat first and then we could come back and see the toy you have wanted.”
Giving choices: This is to provide children some control so they don’t always feel dominated by adults. I chose this strategy to provide her some choices and make sure that she understands the choices very well. I will talk to Katie and provide two choices. First, I would say, “Do you want me to get you off at the shopping cart and walk and behave properly while we were shopping?” Second, I would say, “We could go back at the toy station some other time or later, but for now stay still inside the
