I am from the ecstatic feeling of birthday parties and poolside parties at the grandparent's house. I am from the agonizing feeling of the thought of Uncle Lenny. From wishing he couldn’t just watch me from beyond the grave. I am from the supportive and encouraging voices of my mom. I am from the Navy and the Air Force. I am from the beauty and intelligence of my mother. The strength and athleticism of my father. I am from the voice of my parents telling me how proud they are of me. This makes me so overjoyed I practically melt away. I am from the best friend who has always stuck with me all throughout 4th and 5th grade. Even though we don’t go to the same school, she is still my best friend. I am from my red-nose pitbull, Honey. Who I received when I was only two years old. She is the most astute dog you will ever meet. Who I love so much. I am from the puppy I received not so long ago, Zeus, who is also a pit bull. I am from the ball being kicked so hard that it flies to the moon and back. I am from the ball being kicked so immensely high, it hits the crossbar before making it to the goal. I’m from the outrage of the parents on the sidelines. Their voices so loud your eardrums vibrate from the volume of their voices. I am from the aggressiveness of the other players. I am from the reassuring voices from the coaches and my fellow teammates. I am from the Salem Middle School team. From the Advanced Beach FC team. I am from the black and white of the ball. I am from the echoing voices of the team after I score a goal. I am from the disappointment of losing by just a couple points. I am from the pride of winning 11-0 on September 23,

After 4 hours of math, science and history it was finally time to get our stuff and walk over to the junior high for the 8th grade graduation rehearsal. I needed to go get my stuff from my locker with the other 150 kids that also needed their stuff. I fight through all those people and managed to get to my locker. I grabbed my backpack with my lunch and the book I’ve been reading “From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler”. Now that everyone has their stuff, we started walking.…

Devastated. No word better encompassed my feelings. The first AP Environmental test of the semester had been returned and slowly but surely, the optimistic faces that littered the classroom had dimmed to faces of despair. My eyes frantically roamed the scantron that was loaded with red marks indicative of me selecting one wrong answer after another. It was simply inconceivable to me that the place where a glittering A was supposed to be instead held a vapid 73.…

Standing on the sideline was the coach observing the games, each game consisted of individual talents split up into mock teams. To my surprise, the team I was placed on contained the fastest and most skillful players. Progressing through the game was an easy stomp of 2-0, prior to the halftime mark, the coach ushered me over making me wonder… and before I knew it, he swapped me over to the other team.…

Beginning I suppose that an ordinary autobiography would began with a date of birth. Regretfully, I do not know of the time which I was born. I, like many other slaves, was not afforded the privilege of such knowledge. Not because our masters did not want to tell us, I’m pretty sure that they were not aware of it either, no, if anything, having the knowledge of when their slaves were born was most likely considered blasphemy to them, but I digress.…

I still remember the first high school football game I ever attended. I stood in the first row next to my best friends, Jordan and Nick. It was the fall of our first year in junior high; the leaves just had begun to turn, there was the soft burnt autumn smell in the air, and it was just cool enough that we brought our matching Machebeuf hoodies. As the home team sprinted onto the field, the student section erupted, posters shot up into the air, the cheerleaders began their chants, and the whole stadium radiated with excitement. The players, however, weren’t fazed by the commotion in the stands.…

Methodology A spiritual autobiography can be hard for a person to write, but can be a very therapeutic process that is used by professionals. The process to write a spiritual autobiography can be done in many different ways, which include the question and answer method, making a list of major events that have happened in a person’s life or starting with the desired result then working backwards (Randolph, 2016). For those in the older population the easiest methods are going to be the question and answer method or making a list of events. Both of which I will outline how they are done in the next section.…

Psychology initially captured my interest whilst I was undertaking an optional psychology module in year 9. This introduced me to the subject and left me questioning why certain people behave the way they do to. To answer these questions I wanted to expand my knowledge further about how the mind and brain work. For this reason I decided to study psychology at A-level, allowing me to explore the wide range of topics involved in the subject, such as cognitive, social and developmental psychology. During my study at AS level I took a particular interest in social psychology, looking at the research by different psychologists such as Asch’s research into conformity and Milgram’s obedience work.…
