Personal Assistant Research Paper

I see the future of UAS in every home serving as an aerial personal assistant. UAS can be designed to help persons out with a multitude of tasks around the house. For example, say you are running late to work and on your way out the door, you forget your briefcase. A UAS could be used to retrieve the briefcase and fly it to your place of work. UAS could also be used to take on more serious roles around the house such as mobile security and monitoring. Many people like enjoy the sport of running in their own neighborhood, but don't bring with them any form a defense against attackers. A UAS could be used to track and follow a runner on his or her running path, and be used to notify police and/or emergency responders in case anything happened. One last example is yard work, many homeowners are elderly and simply cannot climb ladders to conduct chores such as cleaning the gutters. A UAS could make quick work of this task with simple attachments, and prevents the chance for injury of the elderly person. …show more content…
In order to negate this cost, the personal assistant UAS would be leased out to customers similar to the way cars are leased. By doing so, not only does it save the customer money up front, but it also awards them the opportunity to upgrade as UAS technology advances. In order to save the business money, it would only lease out quadcopters, hexacopters, and octocopters. Parts among these types of UAS can be interchangeable which brings cost saving modularity to the business. These same parts will also be picked out by the customer, items such as GPS, data link, ground control station, batteries, sensors, electric motors, and even propellers will all be chosen based off of the purpose of the UAS.
