To abort a baby is to purposefully terminate a baby before birth, most often performed during the first twenty eight weeks of pregnancy. Many people are against abortion, and many people are for abortion. In my personal opinion, I am against abortion. In this paper, I am going to tell you why. I will also point out the logical points that the people who believe in abortion point out. I am against abortion for a couple of reasons. The obvious one is that I believe that the innocent baby the mother is carrying can feel pain and doesn’t deserve …show more content…
If you think about it, these factors are used by law to determine death, so why can’t they be used to determine life? Some woman abort because their body is not physically able to give birth, but researchers have found that abortion is more dangerous than childbirth and that less than one percent of all abortions are used to save the life of the mother. Childbirth is a completely natural thing and abortion is not natural at all. Eighty six percent of abortions are done out of convenience. The baby does not deserve to die because it’s convenient. It’s selfish to only think about yourself and not the life of another human being. Adoption is always an option in childbirth and as a result the baby doesn’t have to be aborted and you’re giving it a chance as life. In conclusion. I believe that abortion is wrong and there are many options besides abortion and the baby doesn’t need to die. Pregnancy only takes up less than 1.25 percent of a woman’s life. Pregnancy doesn’t take up a lot of a female's adult life. The baby could of been the one to find a cure to cancer but it was aborted because of convenience issues. You never know who that baby might turn out to

Last Sunday, my priest rambled about the ongoing election and who we should vote for as devout Catholics. He discreetly told us when he stated, “I voted for the candidate that does not support abortion. I voted for the candidate that sought to keep the Church’s ideals. When you vote, please remember the Church’s standards.” Essentially, my priest told all the attendants to vote for Trump because his presidency will prevent the practice of terminating unborn babies.…

It is understandable to see why a mother would abort her child if her life is at risk, but this is at the expense of a baby, who has no part in the decision. Abortion disrespects the safety of a child, which ultimately end in death. Not only is abortion unsafe for a child, but abortion can cause health problems in a woman later on. Chemicals, sharp objects, and homemade remedies; all of these are methods that have previously been facilitated to prematurely terminate – abort -- a pregnancy. Over many generations, abortion has been a very prevalent moral concern. The main debate appears to have a genesis in whether or not life begins at conception. As the years have passed, many have voiced their concerns that having an abortion of any sort is a violation to the fetus’ right to life. In opposition to this viewpoint, those that label themselves as pro-choice believe that a woman’s sovereign choice reigns supreme over the rights of the fetus.…

Living in a world filled with people of different cultures, religions, and personalities, it is impossible to think that with every situation that presents itself in American that mutual agreement upon it will be made. In the news, we constantly hear debates about gay-marriage, police brutality, racism, and many other incidents in America that bring out the inner activists of our people. Most debates over these controversies are no surprise to the public because they have been going on for years. One in particular is the debate about abortions. Since 1973, the world has been divided into two distinct groups of “Pro-life” and “Pro-choice” due to the landmark case of Roe v. Wade.…

So the fetus has a right to life. No doubt the mother has a right to decide what shall happen in and to her body; everyone would grant that. But surely a person’s right to life is stronger and more stringent than the mother’s right to decide what happens in and to her body, and so outweighs it. So the fetus may not be killed; an abortion may not be performed.” The remainder of her paper is a series of analogies meant to challenge the basic argument mention above.…

Imagine you had to have a baby you were not ready for, could not pay for, or happened under unfortunate circumstances. This senario happens to women all across America which is why I believe abortion should be available for several reasons, first, it should be legal because a fetus is not the same as a independent human being, another reason is that banning safe medical abortions would result in back alley abortions, and the last reason is, a woman should have the right to do whatever she sees fit for her own body. First off, a fetus is not the same as a human being. “Scientists estimate that 55% to 65% of all conceptions are spontaneously aborted in the first few weeks of pregnancy.” (Arthur, Is a Fetus a Human Being).…

Yeah some mothers might not be suitable to have a baby but, that doesn 't mean you have to kill it. Although abortion may be the only route out if it concerns the health of the mother in some situations, people may argue that abortion should not be the easy way out for those who failed to take responsibility. Until we figure out that abortion should be illegal millions of babies will…

Although abortion is a very disputable topic it will end on killing an innocent child. I believe that you shouldn't kill a child because you decide not to keep it, you shouldn't kill a fetus. Other people say that we should support abortion because they’re either too young, raped etc. But even though they support it I strongly disagree with abortion, there other ways to deal with the situation like adoption. Why would you kill a child just because you don’t desire it?…

Since everyone has the choice to do what they want with their bodies, then the mother should not get to choose life or death for the baby. Everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their bodies, but “The fetus, or unborn baby, is a distinct individual. Even though it resides in its mother, it is a separate entity genetically” (Johnson). The mother is taking away the choice for the baby which is taking away the baby’s rights. Women should not make decisions for the unborn fetus, especially without the baby’s consent, even if they can’t think on their own.…
