I believe it means more than that, being compassionate means thinking of others before you think of yourself. I use this trait to help me to check in with myself and think of what my actions or words will do to others. When feeling compassionate, you feel concerned for others and wish to treat them more than they’re worth. If I were to be able to take the people in need, I would do it in such a heart beat. When reading the book Night by Elie Wiesel, I realized how compassionate he was throughout his whole journey of the Holocaust. To begin, Elie Wiesel from the start, was so generous enough to be able to share his own story. In this case, it would be so hard for someone to go through so much and still be able to have courage to talk about it.…

From a young age, like the author, high expectations have been placed upon me, and vigorous measures were taken by my parents to ensure that the best education was available to me.
