In one particular incident, an elderly female had been significantly burned at her home. She suffered burns to her torso, upper chest and face. She had a significant medical history and although she was conscious at the time she was suffering from intense pain and difficulty breathing. We knew that her chance for survival was minimal. In an effort to control her airway, we had to give her medication that would render her unconscious while we inserted a tube into her trachea. The paramedics, myself included, knew that once the medication was given that she would most likely never regain consciousness. We made sure to make the husband aware of the situation and allowed him in the back of the ambulance to speak with her one last time. I explained the circumstances to the patient and prayed with her while she was still conscious letting her know that she may never wake up again in this world; however, Jesus would welcome her into eternity soon. I know it is hard to quantify the impact my ministry has had but I have to believe that the family and the patient were impacted by God that day through me. My ministry also impacts others during joyful occasions such as weddings, worship, and baptisms. I am blessed and honored to meet with couples in pre-marital counseling sessions to be able to start their …show more content…
After reviewing his list, I feel that I fit pretty comfortably into two of the styles but would like to perform better in two other of the categories. The two styles that are my preferred would be affiliative and democratic. Affiliative is defined as a style that creates harmony and builds emotional bonds. It is a people come first type leadership approach where empathy, building relationships and communication is a priority. The democratic style of leadership places an emphasis on collaboration and team leadership. It allows all members of the team to have input in the outcome. Utilizing these two leadership styles permits me to seek out the gifts and graces that have been given to others to emphasize the importance of teamwork and caring for each other in the midst of a kingdom building

In three books of the Bible, Mathew, Luke and John have the same writings for such an important event in history, not only religion. This summer I went with a few of my fellow Angels to the Archdiocese of Newark to perform community service throughout the surrounding cities of Kearny. We helped out at a soup kitchen, homeless shelter, food pantry, cemetery, and elementary schools. Overall, this service trip has had a positive effect on me. Doing service for those who have little to nothing made me appreciate all that I have; it was a real eye opener to reality that not everybody is fortunate enough to be able to live comfortably. When I was at the homeless shelter folding clothes in the basement, most of the clothes had dirt on them, and even mold and bugs.…
