Growing up, I wasn't active as much as the other kids that were around, but I still had personal achievements that I am proud of. Back then, my daily routine would be me heading straight home from school because I had to babysit while my mother worked. However, even though I have lived most of my life raising my younger siblings, I feel accomplished that I was able to learn the responsibilities of raising young children. I was taught a sense of responsibilities in my daily life, and now I feel very independent with my chores.

Even though I was busy babysitting at home, school was the only time I was able to really hang out with friends. However, my grades were still my priority. It made me feel great whenever I received
As or Bs, and it was my goal to keep it that way. In doing so, I made it to the honor roll every semester, and I felt proud that I made it on the list. I learned that scheduling and time management played an important role. This was difficult especially when I was busy taking care of my younger siblings at home. I had to finish any work I had during my breaks in school. In the end, I graduated with honors and a GPA of 3.88. Because of my GPA, I was in the list of Magna Cum Laudes. I felt that this was one of the greatest accomplishments one could achieve.

Upon graduating, I found out that I was part of the top ten percent in my class. This allowed me to obtain the UA Scholar Scholarship. This scholarship was and is extremely helpful with my college tuition. This scholarship has helped me and is helping me make my college experiences a lot
