The practitioners discussed what they felt was necessary and what they would eventually change. However, the domains of each theory scarcely change. The articles have influenced my approach drastically. Upon using person centered theory, I find myself now striving to implement the pluralistic perspective, which will allow me to metacommunicate with the client wants through the counseling process. Although it gives the client the opportunity to decide what type of intervention they feel will work best for their specific case. I would also integrate non attachment, it allows no restrictions and carefree for both the client and counselor. Person -centered theory lacks direction and structure. Also, I am aware that certain cultures which are not as open emotionally about their feelings or showing emotions would steer away from the person centered approach. My brother being a latino male would probably not benefit from this approach, however I would modify it by implying techniques from the pluralistic approach. The limitations to Existentialism is that clients may feel their environmental circumstances will not allow them to reach their full potential. Also there is a lack of research on issues on specific techniques for helping individuals develop what their life truly means. This theory is certainly not conducive to brief therapy. However I also fear the lack of structure for implementation which may have an effect on helping my clients reach their full
