The tomb of the unknowns is a very important monument to The Arlington Cemetery. The Tomb sarcophagus was completed and opened to the public on April 9, 1932. It consists of seven rectangular marble pieces with a combined weight of 79 tons. It was furnished by the Vermont Marble Company of Danby, VT and was quarried in Yule, Colorado (from where the same Yule Marble was quarried for the Lincoln Memorial). The inscription on Sarcophagus says “ HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER KNOWN BUT TO GOD.”…

The term Fayum portrait is actually derived from a Coptic word meaning “The land of the lake,” which refers to the artificial Lake Qarun. The mural on the left shows an Etruscan tomb, more specifically it shows young men and women frolicking in a lively and colorful way. The reasoning for this type of decoration inside the tomb is to promise that life after death will be fun, and lively, and happy for those buried in the tomb. The theme in the left tomb is supposed to show dancing and happiness of both men and women in hopes that the paintings represent the afterlife of those people buried there. The image on the right shows a Christian catacomb that has religious themes that the Etruscan one doesn't represent.
