No matter the life changing event, you must persevere and it helps when you have the support of others to help you. In The Call Of The Wild Buck is stolen from his reign over all and is forced to count on others to persevere this hard times. In contrast to Buck, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and had the love and support of family and friends to help her persevere through her hard times. They may seem different but they have more in common than you think, as both counted on support from others to help them persevere through a life changing moment. That goes to show that no matter the species we all need support to help us get through a difficult time.

While Buck was stolen and broken my grandma also experienced something life changing, she was diagnosed with cancer. They both were hit with something new and scary. Both fought to do something, like Buck fought back against the man who broke him, and my grandmother was given 2-3 years to live but she wanted to get better to see her grandkids grow up. In both of these stories their lives were not the only ones turned upside down, for Buck when both he and his team were sold to new clueless owners they learned from each other how to deal with it. For my grandmother the rest of my family helped her and stayed by her during her cancer battle. Finally both persevered with others and both were healed. Buck was saved by John and regained his strength and happiness, and my grandmother won the battle with cancer and is in remission. Even though these two are different they both had to persevere through.
Perseverance is something we all deal with, and more often than not we need the support from others to help us persevere.
