Perseverance: The Reagan High School Lacrosse Team

Perseverance means not giving up on goals when they become challenging. I have had perseverance in the past by trying out for school sports teams even when I doubted myself. Although, I overcame the doubt and now my biggest accomplishment was my goal. I made the Reagan High School lacrosse team. Jackie Robinson showed integrity by doing what he did best, playing baseball. He is famously known as not only a ball player but the first African American to play major league baseball. Against racism and segregation he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and it seemed as if he was immediately known by the whole country, not just baseball fans and he played again.

It describes how he played baseball and lived his life. This is inspiring to me because in sports there is rivalry. For me there is not only this but also some judgement on the lacrosse team. I worked harder everyday and I felt more comfortable as they went on. We did different things each but nothing was hard since I had experience. I just knew one thing and that was I could not let up. I never did and I’m glad I did not. I did not get looked at by the coaches particularly but it did not matter to me. I still good and there can always be improvement no matter who you are.
