The theme of War Horse by Michael Morpurgo is perseverance. Perseverance means to make continued effort to do something even if you have many hard times or something against you. Morpurgo showed many examples in his book about perseverance. The main characters were Joey, the horse, and Albert, the boy who became a man. Both of these characters had so many hard times in this story for example Albert had a difficult times when his father tried to shoot Joey, and then he gets separated from Joey(1~10). Another difficulties Albert had was fighting in the war because he got injured eye. Also his closest friend david died in war(140~150). Next I will talk about Joey the horse’s difficulties.
