Perseverance In 'The Lost Boys'

This essay is about perseverance ,perseverance is being steadfast and completing a task despite difficulty and delay in achieving success . There were five stories that were read but three that really stood out and best represented the act of perseverance . The three texts were Mother and son ,The trapeze act and lastly the the Lost boys . These three stories represent what perseverance means, and that is being brave and courageous and not giving up .
The first text that demonstrates perseverance is mother and son . This text demonstrates perseverance because the mother is telling her son that there will be obstacles in life that you will have to overcome,And that life is hard by using the metaphor of stairs .In the article it states “ life for me ain't been no crystal stair. It's had tacks in it ,And splinters,And boards torn up ,And places with no carpet on the floor bare “. This shows perseverance because she is telling her son that life was not easy for her and it will not be easy for him either.She has had to

This text represents perseverance is because it is about three boys who moved to america .and now live there it s about their journey in america and their life . It is about how they had survived lions and crocodiles and much more living in Africa . In the text it states “Two days earlier , the brothers refugees from Africa , had encountered there first light switch , and there first flight of stairs “. This states that the three brothers will have to adjust to their new lifestyle and the new things that they will see and encounter in the new home .They realize that this is not Sudan any more and that there new life will be hard but exciting . These three brothers have perseverance because they are in a new state with no friends nor family and they will have to learn quickly how to not only survive but thrive.These boys don't let the struggles of living in a new place put them down
