Perseverance In Lost Boys, Nick Vujicic, And Saudi Arabia

Perseverance is one of the things that just about everyone says is an important trait to have. Without it, wars could have ended differently, and inventions may have been discovered at different times… by different people. However, there are tons of people who say that if they gave up, things would have been worse. And these three are the Lost Boys, Nick Vujicic, and the Saudi Arabia’s Freedom Riders
First are the Lost Boys, a group of children from sudan who fled due to the civil war going on there as a result of ideas of religious freedom. At one point, a man says to them “Where are you flying to. Where? Fargo? North Dakota? You gotta be kidding me. It’s too cold there, you’ll never survive”. This references their perseverance, as they never stopped trying to survive, even when this man says it's too cold where their going, despite them surviving the 100 degrees at their old home. Another quote describes their experience of escaping sudan: “The Lost Boys survived a 6 to 10 week walk to ethiopia, after subsisting on leaves and berries, and the occasional boon of a warthog carcass”. One thing that shows his perseverance was “He adapted to his situation and found ways to accomplish tasks that most people could only do using their limbs” Despite him not having these parts, he can still do these activities. Another quote was “People ask Nick, How can you smile? Then they realize there’s gotta be something more to life than meets the eye.” People realize he is living a better life than them, despite having no limbs. Finally, one last thing that can explain his perseverance is “Using his own experiences in worldwide outreach as examples, he challenges others to examine their perspective and look beyond their own circumstances”. Which means that he wants everyone to think past any barrier in their
