As a student, I don’t think much about how a brain handles all the information I gather while being in control of every bit of my body. Learning is said by many to be important for young ones as it will help their brains grow and so they won’t fall behind. This is usually said by parents, and their children usually fall behind due to their mindset, not failed attempts in learning. A mindset is what every student has and it shows how they are gaining knowledge or intelligence in classes. Two mindsets are in place in school: a fixed mindset where students are afraid of challenges and going further with learning because they don’t have the ability to become intelligent, and a growth mindset where students believe learning is the key way to gain intelligence and will take on challenges.…

I have faced several obstacles growing up with ADHD, but I realized that adhd is not a “disability”, it’s the ability to process knowledge at my own pace. She pushed me to the fifth grade reading level and introduced me to the Harry Potter series with which I promptly fell in love. The continuation of my love for reading as I grew older allowed for the introduction of more advanced ideas presented in a more palatable format for my younger self.…

This is because skills are a concept like the world, they are constantly changing around us proving one may never master one specific skill and grow while on the journey.…
