Who is the character marji. What makes marji different any other 10 years old girl? Marji a character from a book called persepolis; 10 years old girl that has the Brain of adult. Marji lives in Iran a place where there's no peace but war. A confused girl who's learning what's going in on with her country. As audience what got us the most intention of the book is the emotional feeling we have for mrji on what she is going through. By Finishing the first book of persepolis tough me marii, Telling us the love she has for her family, the love of her country, and mostly politics.marji has a great imaginative, competitive, and intelligent.
Marji family are middle social class and that's better than having nothing. Marji family went through a lot of struggle but her family aren't different than other family. It all started her grandpa as prime ministry and he was sent to prison for upsetting the new regime. . Marji didn't know her grandpa was minster and all the rough time he went through. Her unhealthy grandma is a strong influencing women, after her husband died she also lost everything she had. maji met uncle anoosh and her become her favorite uncle. he got executed and that left her heart breaking. People that was close to marji was dispersing slowly in the beginning of the book. Marji has lucky parent that love her so

In the beginning of the book she talked about if she could a prophet she could be helping people that around that starting with her grandam. But that all changed when islamic said everyone need to wear veil. Mariji was not fan of veil she also made fun of it. “Deep down I was very religious but as a family we were very modern and avant-garde”. Her parent go to party and drink that consider as freedom. But the regime changed everything by wanting everyone to be religious. Marji doesn't have to wear veil to be religious. She believes in god and her faith is with her god. that what mattered to
