This summer, I was honored to read the masterpiece, Persepolis 2, written by: Marjane Satrapi. This book covers the roller coaster of a life that the author herself experienced. It showcases what life was like back then for an Iranian women/girl, during the 1980s. The story starts off in Vienna, Austria, where Marjane has fled to; in order to escape the fundamentalism of Iran, and the war with Iraq. Here she must face the trials of adolescence and high school all by herself, with no family and friends by her side. Although she creates a life for herself with other outsiders, she still misses her home in Iran. Subsequent to graduation, Marjane returns home. Being back in Iran she is greeted with many thoughts of the changes she and her
