Perry Ellis International's Mission Statement reads, “Our mission is to create an apparel company that can offer superior design, quality and value to the consumer. We will accomplish this by being committed to offering great service and real value to our business partners and consumers. We will provide a pleasant, fair and diverse environment, allowing our associates to grow in their careers and experience constant improvements in their lifestyle. (Perry Ellis International Inc, n.d.).” (MissionStatements.com, 2016)
When I read the About Us Page at the Perry Ellis International Website, I had to think about it's intention and focus on the meaning of levity. Levity is “a lack of seriousness” (Merriam-Webster, Incorporated, 2015) and the message

The real key points of the mission statement that showed through is the section “We will provide a pleasant, fair and diverse environment, allowing our associates to grow in their careers and experience constant improvements in their lifestyle. (Perry Ellis International Inc, n.d.).” (MissionStatements.com, 2016) The entire About Us Pages seems to describe this section of their mission statement to me as it is broken down in its own words to describe Perry Ellis as being himself and his distinction in the industry.
When I look through the site, its market seems to be of younger men in their twenties to thirties and incorporates models dressed in their latest casual and professional attire. The style is very different to the usual blue-jean and shirt clothing, it's more city or metro style with new designs and garment flow that incorporate new materials. The color schemes are somewhat causal and some of their newer garments include accessories new to a men's clothing store, such as very tall neck collars. These new garments were recently modeled in a recent fashion show and their marketing departments have added additional webpages to explain and resonate their new styles to their market. The site and styles truly appear to be in the moment and its style is distinct enough that the market may synchronize with its new
