In each of these books, the authors all specifically describe the wrongs the characters and subjects face in their respective, troubling circumstances. But even though the authors emphasize the hardships through anecdotes, they also describe solutions to the issues they present in their texts. Overall, they are describing the need to create and enforce morals for one’s own ideas. Many of the different anecdotes included in the texts notes the lack of morals or the lack of reinforcement that many of the characters display. In the case of Perry and Dick, the two both lacked any morals in whether it was right to kill the innocent Clutters, yet selfishly decided to kill them anyway, even after a search for money that was non-existent.
