The passage that interested me was “Stand fast in the faith and love one another.” This shows the faith of Perpetua and Felicitas in their beliefs Christianity. Jesus said in Matthew 5:11, blessed are those who are killed in my name. This means Perpetua and Felicitas were blessed, because they profess their belief in Christ when they were killed. To me, Perpetua and Felicitas are an inspiration to others Christian due to their courage and unshakeable faith while suffering when they were about to die. This example shows that in order for people to have the same type need commitment they need to be surrounded with other people who are courageous in facing the costs of Christian discipleship.
