There is that book that I am reading in my English class called the namesake that also have to do with parenting style and how the parents Ashoke and Ashima raise their kids and what parenting style did they use on their teenage girl Sonia and their college graduate son Gogol. Sonia and Gogol grew up with both Permissive and Authoritarian parenting style. Ashima loved her children but she had some ground rules since they were living with her and their father. And they have high expectation from their children they want Gogol to be a doctor or an Engineer.
