Due to his prior investigation and evolvement with Letchworth in the past, Geraldo Rivera has been chosen as the host or narrator for The Story of Letchworth Village. Not only can Geraldo guide the story along, he can also input his own personal experiences into the documentary. Since Geraldo, is an established interviewer, he can also conduct interviews within the documentary as well. Some of the interviews will be with former Letchworth employees, town police, and those who were brave enough to see if all of the rumors were true. Along with these, Geraldo will also sit down the Ryan Murphy, the creator of American Horror Story, to what about the story of Letchworth led him to use it for inspiration for the second season, Asylum. Since this documentary’s subject matter involves paranormal activity, it is best to be aired in the fall. The weeks before Halloween, many people will choose to view more horror or thriller content than during other times of the year. Permanently Closed will be marked as “A True American Horror Story”. This tag lines plays off it being the inspiration for the second season of American Horror Story, as well as letting viewers know that this tragic story actually occurred, making it that much more chilling. Commercials for the documentary will start airing in September on the major networks. There will be increased advertisements during shows involving paranormal activity on many different networks. In order to have the American Horror Story fans tune in, commercial will be aired during each episode highlighting the interview with Ryan Murphy and showing the deep connection between Letchworth and the show. There will also be numerous social media campaigns that will engage fans of American Horror Story, as well as those who are intrigued by the paranormal. The hashtag #atrueamericanhorrorstory on Instagram and Twitter will feature never before seen footage and before and after pictures of various rooms in Letchworth.
