By using these three different elements of literature, the story tells the reader that we should not make decisions about how that person is going to be just by looking at their appearance. I also had a similar experience with the story “Perla”. When there was a new student in my class, I was also afraid of that new student like Julia was afraid of Perla at the beginning. But at last, the new student and I became the best friends like Julia had become a close friend with Perla and I had also learned that we should not judge people from their appearance. Because the appearance does not tell everything about that

Even though the phrase “point of view” is just three measly words, it is one of the most important choices an author needs to make while deciding how they are going to write their story. Will they write in first person and use “I”, and “we”, or write in 3rd person and address people by their names or use pronouns like “he” or “they”? Although many people decide to write in third person point of view, both the stories The Georges and the Jewels by Jane Smiley, and Black Beauty: The Autobiography of a Horse by Anna Sewell develop their characters through first person point of view. The Georges and the Jewels is a story in perspective of a little girl named Abby, who has had both the good and the bad with horses. She has been thrown off of her…

Because the story is told in first person it makes it that much more interesting. If “The Yellow Wallpaper” would have been told by anyone else, it would have been pretty bland. For example: if the story would have been told by a third person omniscient narrator, like “The Story of an Hour”, the impact would not have been the same. Even if the story would have been told by John, her husband, or Jennie, her husband’s sister, it would not have had the same amazing effect it did when Jane is the one that tells it. Because Jane tells the story the reader gets a very unique insight into her life that no one has, except her.…
