COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is a continued study of the etiology and pathogenesis of the periodontal disease with a continued focused on the systemic disease connection. The course will continue to determine the underlying conditions that result in periodontal disease, and the immunological connection through case studies,

All students will be held accountable for their choice in presenting work as their own void of any plagiarism. Any work submitted that is not of their own original work or not credited to the proper source will be penalized accordingly.

CANCELLATION / DELAY POLICY:
Severe weather can cause cancelations or delays that the university is responsible for deeming conditions safe for staff and students. Announcements will be made in a timely manner in order for all parties to have ample time to accommodate the changes. The announcements will be made on the university’s webpage and television ads. If the class has to be cancelled by the professor personally, an email to each student will be sent, a posting on my office door will be listed, and an announcement in blackboard will be sent out. Please assume all class is going to occur unless stated elsewhere.

MAKE-UP / LATE HOMEWORK POLICY:
Students who have missed a class with an excused absent will be allowed to make-up certain examinations and assignments by the instructors leniency. Any late assignments without an excused absence will results in a 0 for credit.
