Birth defects can affect a persons way of living, the family, the way that person functions, and their whole body. Certain risks can result in certain birth defects. Birth defects can develop from the actions that the mother takes while pregnant at any age. Depending on how well the mother takes care of her body can result in how healthy or not, the baby will turn out to be. While at the doctors office, they can detect any sort of birth defect findings from your responses to how well you are taking care of your body, what you are eating and drinking, how often you are exercising, and they can detect if anything is abnormal in your sonogram while having a visual of the baby and the mothers blood lab results. Doctors also give you much advice on how to care for yourself and the baby very early on in the pregnancy so mothers know exactly how to care for their bodies.
