Communication Timeline:
1. Immediately: All laboratory staff will be verbally informed of our new efforts to increase lab result TAT by the Team Leader and laboratory representatives. Training will follow and be available on audio – video conferencing.
2. One week observation on the logistics and turn-around time of lab tests.
3. After the observation week, all team members will have a quality meeting on how to improve TAT.
4. One week is allotted for the training and initial implementation of the change.
5. Team meeting to assess the effectiveness of the change.
6. Team leader will submit final report to the Quality Council and Administrators for approval.
7. Final Report will be disseminated to supervisors and to each department bulletins for every staff to read.
8. All laboratory staff will receive training regarding the new procedure.
